Tales of the Paw is a Los Angeles based 501(c)(3) non profit organization with a mission to rescue and rehabilitate the dogs ands cats that are most vulnerable: senior, medical, and hospice animals, including kittens and puppies in need of medical care. We take in rescues all across Southern California, from both shelters and the community.

We are a small but mighty organization, with a hope that every animal is forever loved and never forgotten.

We are 100% volunteer-run and foster-based, which means we are fully reliant on the help of our community through donations, fostering, and other forms of volunteering.

Please consider opening up your hearts and your homes to these animals in need, because we are just getting started.

THE INSPIRATION

  • Wilson

At only 6 weeks and 8 lbs, Wilson was rescued from the non public portion of the local shelter as a code orange. After many long nights of comforting Wilson as he struggled to breathe, he had won his way into our hearts and his forever home.

  • Baxie

Baxie was rescued at 9 months old from a previous owner which neglected him. Now 13 years old Baxie is still going strong and is the center of our family.

  • Zola

Zola was found abandoned, scared and completely malnourished running the streets of South LA. Found in the non public portion of the local shelter as a code blue, Zola was rescued weighing only 18 pounds. Now she is 51 pounds and so grateful that she opens her home to other animals in need.
